PLEASE USE THE ABOVE TABLE AS A GUIDE TO FIND YOUR CAT'S COLLAR SIZE. MEASURE YOUR CAT'S NECK TO CONFIRM YOU HAVE SELECTED THE CORRECT SIZE.

Use the below cat collar size chart to double-check your cat's measurement.

  1. Wrap a tape measure closely around your cat's neck and note down the measurement
  2. Add 2.5cm/1 inch to this figure to allow the correct amount of space between their neck and the collar for a perfect fit.
  3. This is your cat's collar size. (If you don't have a tape measure - use a piece of string and a ruler)

If your cat already wears a collar that fits well, you can take it off and measure the inside circumference when it's fastened on the correct hole to find out your cat's neck size.

Cheshire & Wain collars are not suitable for kittens or cats that weigh less than 2.5kgs / 5.5lbs. We advise that your cat is at least 4 months old to wear a Cheshire & Wain collar unattended.

If you're unsure about anything and need further assistance, don't hesitate to get in touch with us for advice.

Help Videos
  • This collar is made from luxury leather and suede.
  • This beautiful and durable material will adapt with time as the collar comes into contact with the natural oils in your cat’s coat.
  • Colour transfer may occur if the collar gets wet but the dye is harmless and temporary.
  • The leather may become darker and richer through wear, as it matures with the personality of your feline friend.
  • Hardware can be polished with a clean cloth. Brass polish can be used on gold buckles.
  • Do not get spot on flea treatments on or near the leather - the chemicals will react with the leather causing discolouration that cannot be reversed.

Quality leather collars is reason enough to get my return business. I live in Australia and this was my third purchase from UK-based C&W. To top it off their customer service is beyond expectations. Thanks again from a very happy customer (and kitty)!

Not Winston Proof

I loved the first collar for Anubus. Unfortunately, the second collars color and leather purchased for Winston was lovely. Winston has no neck to speak of and broke out of of his collar reveal times. It cant be reattached. I will buy again, just not for Winston.

Oh no Sherrie! I'm sorry to hear that Winston kept escaping from his collar. It sounds like the collar was too big for him if he has a very small neck. You ordered the standard size but I would like to suggest 'petite' for his replacement. Is Winston much smaller than Anubus? Breakaway collars must be a snug fit to prevent avoidable loss. If there is enough room for the cat to get their paw between the strap and their neck then they can forcibly break the mechanism using brute force. Cats are very clever after all! Repetitive loss it due to the incorrect size 90% of the time, the other 10% accounts for real feline Houdinis. Of course the collars are designed to break open to prevent injury if the cat gets the collar caught and this can happen at any time but if it keeps happening it warrants further investigation. I will email you directly about the replacement collar for Winston so please keep an eye on your inbox. Best wishes, Sonja
